Who pays the fee of a buyer's agent?
A buyer's agent has a contract with a buyer which states that the agent will help the buyer find a home for a specified fee. The responsibility to pay a buyer agent's commission ultimately lies with the buyer, however, in many cases the fee is worked into the purchase price of the home and deducted from the proceeds at the closing.
